Kangaroo Food Adventure Extravagana Sausagefest
« on: Friday, December 23, 2011, 11:52:44 AM »
I ate Kangaroo! Kangaroo sausage to be specific. It was delicious, everything I had hoped for and more.

The place that I went to also sells the following sausages:

Mediterranean Lamb
Wild Boar
Guinea Fowl
Pheasant
Duck
Venison
Rabbit
Bison
Wild Boar

and then regular stuff like Boerewors, Italian, Kranjska, Merguez, calabrese and bratwurst. I haven't heard of most of the regular stuff but I'm assuming you are all much more familiar with sausages than myself.

All sausages come with fries (cooked in regular oil or duck fat) and many varieties of microbrews from across North America and Europe.

I need to try all the other ones now so if anybody is in the area and wants to buy me sausages, let me know.

Venison sausage is good. I had kangaroo before but it was jerky. Bratwurst and Italian sausages are pretty common and Ive had them a lot.

I've never been a big sausage guy but until very recently my sausage exposure was limited to street meat. I had no idea how many sausage opportunities were out there.
