Topic: Gmail is really pissing me off

It's bad enough that it keeps nagging me about my version of Firefox.  (FUCK YOU!  I'll decide when to update my browser, not you.)  Now I can't log into youtube with my account there while being logged into gmail with a different account.  If I change one, the other one changes to it as well.  What a pisser.  Anything I can do about this, other than wishing them an early fiery death?

Google has begun tying all their services together with your Google account.  Notice the top bar that appears on virtually every Google-owned product page since Google+ came out?  It's all single-sign-on now.

You are SOL as far as wanting to be signed into different Gmail and YouTube accounts at the same time.

You could always set up Thunderbird for Gmail and then in your browser log into your account you like to use for YouTube.  Two birds with one stone.

This pisses me off.  Until I have a domain set up for the company I work for, I'm dealing with a bunch of payroll and invoice notices through a gmail account.  This works well as it's all internal (so clients aren't like "gmail....seriously?", gives me direct access to a google docs account to store all this shit in the cloud, and works great with my Android and the multiple inbox support.  But it's a bitch when I'm watching videos of guys getting kicked in the junk on youtube and all of a sudden see that I'm in my business account.  I mean, it doesn't matter at all, but it's just kind of a bitch.

Also, is there multiple inbox support for the web version of gmail?  Constant logging in and out of accounts on the PC is getting to be a bitch.

I'm pretty sure multiple logins can be enabled in Google Labs. I'm not at a pc right now though so I can't verify that.

Also, is anyone else getting lots of spam making it through their filters? I've been getting about 5 a day for a while now and it's really annoying.

No, and I have two other mail services forwarding to my main gmail (from hotmail and a pop3).  If anything, I actually find that the gmail spam filter maybe filters too well:  newsletters I subscribe to and such.

Same is true here.  Fortunately, it's always been things that I rarely (if ever) read anyway, like newsletters or quasi-advertisements.

That might be the solution I need here.  I did go ahead and enable the "multiple account switching" in Google Labs, and it's....weird.  The first hint of this was they make you check like three "I have read this statement" boxes in order to do it.  And then it still didn't help all that much.  It was great for switching actual inboxes, but there was either a problem with viewing attachments (as google documents) or getting into Google Docs itself...like you could only be signed into one account at a time in order to do either.  For what I'm using this for it made it kind of useless, but the features are there nonetheless.

It just works so much easier on the actual gmail android App.  Strange that it's so awkward on the PC.
