Kid from my high school predicted to go #5 in the NFL draft
« on: Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 04:06:16 PM »
Now... I've never met Luke Kuechly and graduated from high school more than a decade before him, but my high school alma mater instills a great deal of school spirit and feeling of belonging to something special.  In fact all the alumni are referred to as "The Long Blue Line".  So it is pretty neat that not only is some guy from my hometown getting such respect, but a fellow member of The Long Blue Line.  A few guys from my high school have made it into the NFL and have had varying degrees of success, but nothing approaching being picked in the first round of the draft.

I'll definitely be rooting for him throughout his NFL career.  Unless he ends up with the Steelers or Ravens at any point.

That's pretty damn cool. I live in the San Fernando valley in California and near Granada Hills High School where John Elway played his high school football. There's a giant statue there of him
Suck it, Pugnate.

He ended up going #9.  Still... impressive.
