Ren, you should throw some christmas lights up somewhere. Line the ceiling, throw them on the wall, whatever. It always looks good, and it makes for a cool atmosphere in the room when the only lights you have on are the christmas lights.
You can buy regular christmas lights, but they also make these tube lights, i don't know if anybody has seen them. They're just christmas lights with a plastic, colored tube around them so your bulbs don't break. It looks pretty cool too, because it gives your room the tint of whatever color plastic you have.
