Re: Resident Evil 6 -> Update: Capcom responds to the on-disc DLC claims

DLC is always a touchy subject.

I'm w/ Cobra - if the entire DLC is on the disc (more like Disc-Locked Content, not Down-Loadable Content) [or flat-out comes w/ the digital download files for the base-game], it's MINE.
Now, if the DLC can be ONLY UNLOCKED for FREE by just by playing the game (whether earning enough Achievement, earning enough points in-game, doing something specifically in-game, or whatever) - that is ABSOLUTELY FINE.

For me, this gets kind of muddy when part of the DLC is on the disc, yet another part of the DLC is NOT on the disc. Probably depends on how quick they released it after base-game. We're not sure if they got it done already and are purposely just holding the game back; or if some of it is done and some of it isn't. Who knows.

Of course, who knows if some companies got DLC done for a long time and just don't include ANY of it on the game-disc - and then just suddenly numerous months later decide to sell it as full-blown DLC.

Is Capcom finally getting the hang of damage control?

I doubt it.
I mean, they been under scrutiny for doing stupid things before and had to fix them b/c they were afraid of the huge backlash.
They keep doing this shit!

EDIT:
They shouldn't have to fix very easy common-sense shit like RE6 on-disc DLC (it should be FREE!) and the SSF4:AE PC DRM requirements (I should have access to ALL my characters, online or offline) in the first place.

GTTV -> Major patch coming for RE6 in probably Mid-December.

Press Release:

Capcom is pleased to announce that, in response to player feedback, a free title update for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Resident Evil 6 will be made available in mid-December 2012. This update includes the following additions and improvements:

- Gamers will be able to adjust the camera to give a greater field of view as best suits their play style. Screenshots illustrating the new camera and co-op features can be found on Capcom’s press site. The camera screenshot pairs show the minimum and maximum range of the new camera setting. Please note that this feature is still in development and may change without further notice before the title update is released.

- Subtitle options have been improved so that English language audio can be combined with subtitles in an alternative language.

- As recently announced, Ada Wong’s campaign will be unlocked from the start and have an optional player-controlled co-op partner added. It was previously necessary to complete all three other campaigns in order to unlock Ada’s story.

- ‘No Hope’ difficulty level will be added above the existing levels, for players who want an extreme challenge.

Original/Normal Cam View

Adjusted Cam Option (planned for this patch)

Oh thank God!!

That's the only major issue I'm suffering with this game.. It feels like I'm walking around with magnified goggles all the time!
