Same here. Even if it's a Steam-only release.

Wired's Game|Life wasn't so big on it, giving it a 5/10 here's the review.

Quote
WIRED: Great visual design.

TIRED: Uninspired gameplay with a rotten story and clunky combat.

UPDATE:
The Verge's Polygon Review: 7/10

I tried the demo.  It looks pretty, but the controls are wonky.  It's similar to classic Prince of Persia in that jumps seem to be discrete steps.  I hate how if you're holding the stick a millimeter one way or the other, the guy does a horizontal jump instead of straight up.  Also, I could not figure out how to go down a ladder.  I looked at the how-to section in the menu.  I tried every combination of buttons.  I got it to work once through some sort of combination of 'A' and crouching.  But after dying multiple times walking or jumping off the ledge rather than grabbing on to the ladder, I had enough.  This is the earliest part of the game, and it's already a bitch because of crappy controls?  No thanks.

Yes, yes it does.  I was so hoping this would be on a par with Shadow Complex.  This Summer of Arcade has fizzled so far.  Last week some Kinect crap came out.  Before that, a Tony Hawk game, something I never got into.  And then there's this letdown.  The only hope left is Dust, yet to come.  Hybrid isn't looking like my cup of tea either.

Damn man. Too many potentially good games are foiled by crummy controls.

Took me around 5 hours today alone, but this one is now done.
I liked it quite a bit - yeah, it was pretty good, even despite the controls at times being a bit wonky and unresponsive.

I absolutely prefer Mark of the Ninja over Deadlight.

The atmosphere is absolutely great in this game, though, I must say.
