They're criminals and murderers on a grand scale. They can't be dealt with like thugs. They have to be taken out militarily. Reading Pug's real-life story, how the police acknowledge they can't do a thing, makes my blood run cold, because it confirms my frightening conclusions in a very personal way. This really is rather biblical, when you think about it. There are no shades of grey here, no middle ground, no effective discourse. The devil himself is at your doorstep, Pug, and only a determined opposing force with the conviction of good and the power of might will ever prevail over him. All you can do is run away.
