The rhyming is forced, and dumb. But the game is not bad. It has a good mechanic with the timeline. As you advance and get more party members, you can learn to take advantage of it. Also, while only two party members show at any given time, you can swap either one of them with no penalty of any sort, which effectively gives you all of them in any fight, if you want. So, for example, you can use one which starts a turn later in the timeline, and then swap it strategically for one who can kick a particular enemy's ass. The oculi are a useful addition too, modifying damage, defense and a character trait. Once I got into it, I had a hard time putting it down.
