Dane Cook's Vicious Circle
« on: Monday, December 11, 2006, 03:16:45 AM »
I have laughed my ass off to some phenomenal comedians, but I dont think it'll ever come close to this night, the night I saw Dane Cook's Vicious Circle. My best friend and I caught it on one of the movie channels, we were trying desperately to breathe oxygen, then came the last 15 minutes and our eyes became drenched and by the end we were both exhausted as if we had ran 3 miles due to the insane laughter. I'm trying not to think of it because my muscles are still trying to recover. I'm probably overhyping the guy, but damn... that was some of the most incredible comedic genius I have ever witnessed.

He's a seriously funny dude.  My only question is how does it compare to his last CD?  I downloaded it and found the first half (I think) to be super funny and the second half (I think) to be overly base and crude.  Regardless, he's one of my favorite comedians, and one of the few I've gone out of my way to buy material from (his old Comedy Central special was just awesome).

Dane Cook is a joke thief... He's funny but unoriginal.

How do you figure?  I've heard an awful lot of comics out there and most of them aren't half as funny to me as he is.  If he was stealing shit, wouldn't I find those other people funny too?

Dane Cook's awesome.  Though I agree with que on the Retaliation CDs.  The first disc is gold... the second disc is somewhat disappointing.

I'm gonna keep a look out for this Vicious Circle thing.

They were actually showing it at a theater near here for one night... I'm a little sad I didn't go.

I just love the way he delivers, he pretty much puts everything into it, his heart and soul into his comedy and he is great at it. Plus at the end of it, you feel like your his best friend.

I heard some clips of other comedians bits, and then Dane Cooks version. He does rip them off, blatantly. That said, he delivers so much better than the original writers. Like Struck By A Vehicle, awesome coming from Dane Cook, original comedian, it sucks.
