I've never actually met a celebrity, unless you count George Foster who was an old Cincinnati Reds great. I didn't even know who he was until afterwards.
I was also in very close proximity to Al Snow twice. He was/is a professional wrestler. The first time, an ex-girlfriend an I were checking into Red Roof Inn outside Chicago. These two dudes behind us went up to the guy in front of us and were talking to him. After he checked in, the guys were like, "Holy shit! Do you know who that was? That was Al Snow! That wrestler guy with the mannequin head!" I was like, "Oh really? I didn't know. I don't watch wrestling, but I've heard my brother mention the mannequin head before."
The second time I was near him was when there was some reality show where this bunch of guys were trying to become pro wrestlers. I think it was on MTV. Apparently the show was filmed in Cincinnati because there is some wrestling school here. Whatever. Well, a different ex girlfriend and I were at Dave & Busters. People kept coming up to the booth next to us and talking to some guy, and I overheard one of them say, "You're Al Snow, right?"
I thought that was wierd I was in such close proximity to the same celebrity twice, especially in two different cities.
