Im actually going to buy gold
« on: Tuesday, December 19, 2006, 10:56:12 PM »
My brother wants an epic mount for christmas, heh. I could put in the hours of tedious farming to collect enough gold, but that would suck hard. So I'm just gonna buy the 90g or whatever it cost.

Isn't it like 500g, or did they lower the price... or am I just completely wrong?

What's the currency exchange on WoW money?

Unless they've changed it it is 1000g.  You get 10% discount for being honored with the faction of the mount, and you get another 10% discount for having a certain rank.  Since the honor system has changed though, I'm not sure...

But in the past it cost 800g.  90g for the BG mount.

Mount pricing has changed. The mounts themselves are now relatively cheap. The training to ride them is the expensive part.

I also gotta say that it's a pretty lame present.  Epic mount isn't really all that necessary unless you pvp a lot.  Needless to say though, I've had an epic mount almost the moment my character hit level 60.

Yea, PvPing is all hes doing, and he really wants one. But yea... my mistake, I meant to say 900g not 90g.

It is about 720g for epic mount training if you are Revered with SW, Darn or IF. I don't know how much it is for Exalted.

The epic mounts for each faction cost around 80g. What I did was collect 30 of each BG token and got a free Tiger mount. Cool since I am human and I am riding around on a NE mount.

Oh sweet... they changed it so you can actually get mounts of other factions more easily now, insteading of grinding to exalted?

Yeah but its restricted to the PVP mounts. If you want to buy from a mount vendor in Darnassus or something then you still have to grind to Exalted.
