Buy 1 get 1 free TV show DVD sets @ Barnes & Noble
« on: Saturday, January 13, 2007, 09:38:33 PM »
Had to go back to the mall to get that Guild Wars thing fixed. My dad came with because he likes sitting in the book store reading. I spend some time checking out the magazines and stuff when they announced this sale.

Buy 1, get 1 free of TV show DVD box sets, $29.99 and up. The signs stated the deal lasts till Jan 30th, though I have no idea if its a national thing or what. I grabbed Robot Chicken season 1 and got Venture Brothers season 1 for free. So if you're looking for something in particular...wewt.

I had purchased Jack of All Trades earlier in the day at a different store and almost kicked myself...but BN didnt seem to have that in stock anyway.

Impressive, B&N  is normally way overpriced when it comes to music and movies.

I noticed. Fawlty Towers was $60 for the set! Forget that one. I was lucky that Robot Chicken and Venture Bros were $29 each, which is only about $5 more than anywhere else.

Yeah. Never buy DVDs from them unless you can't find what you want somewhere else (which happens from time to time). Que and I saw a sale at B&N or Borders (I mix the two up all the time) a couple weeks ago for buying 4 DVDs and get the 5th one free. It was like, "Look, now you can pay as much as you do at other place, but you have to buy five DVDs to pay a regular price."

Two for one isn't bad at higher prices though... too bad I can't think of a TV show I want. Maybe the Beavis and Butthead sets.
