I have an announcement to make.
« on: Tuesday, January 23, 2007, 01:56:04 AM »
On this day January 23rd 2007, I too am launching an exploratory committee and am running for the president of the United States First. I am doing this for you.

 :P

What the heck is up with all these democratic candidates announcing their attentions so soon? Also why aren't the Republican candidates launching their campaigns? Is that a rule or something?

Because when it comes to campaigning, Republicans are much less moronic than the Democrats.  There always seem to be twice as many Democratic canditates and more in-fighting in the Democratic party.

I denounce the lot of them and hope they all die in painful car accidents.

The host of Hell is generally considered to be well spoken, too.  And yes, I must agree with you about the Clinton woman.  I don't think there's anyone on the planet that fills me with as much loathing as she does.

I suppose that after six years of Bush "well spoken" seems like a nice change. Nonetheless, "Godly" politicians piss me off.

She has no chance. Liberals don't like her and conservatives despise her.

Too bad they won't run Gore again, especially now that that prick Lieberman has alienated himself from the party.

At this point I think we should try 4 years without a president. Who knows, might not be that bad.

I was reading an article the other day about how if Clinton got in it'd be something like 28 years with a Bush or Clinton in power (this may include Vice President Bush during the Regan years).  Kind of interesting.

QFT. McCain should have won the Republican nomination in 2000. We would be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better off.

And after the bitc...err...Hilary Clinton finishes her term, it will be Jeb Bush.

Agreed.  McCain is the man.

I like most how he really campaigned for reduced corruption, getting rid of the soft money.  He seems like the only person that understands that when business has a complete stranglehold on America, that it is not a good thing at all.

I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon and say: Obama '08 baby!

Obviously they will all look good compared to our current Pres, but Obama seems solid. I do think that McCain would also make a good president, I just don't agree with some of his positions on recent issues. Both of these candidates I would vote for before Hillary, not because she is a woman, just because I think that they would do better.

I remember thinking back in 2000 that if McCain won the primary the dems would be in trouble, but if Bush won it would be an election easily won for the dems. Good stuff!

A lot of the dems are announcing now so they can start raising money. Republicans, on average, raise three times more money than dems do. Its best to start now.

Anyone find it strange the Dems offer up 2 things that have never been president before: a black guy and a woman? Like...are you trying to make things hard on yourself?

I'll vote for the better candidate (or the lesser of the evils candidate) black, white, woman, midget, whatever. But these things can and will be a factor for many many people. Just like you wont see a candidate that admits to being an atheist. Too many people wont vote for you on that reason alone no matter how well everything else would work.

I think the reason the Democratic Party has done so badly the last several years is that they're afraid to admit they're liberal. Thus they field watered-down "moderates" like Kerry/Edwards, and now Hilary.

Don't be ridiculous. No one would vote for a midget.

Barak Obama is a good candidate.  Too bad his name is "Barak Obama."  He has no shot just because of that.

But McCain's the man.  So long as he's running, he's got my vote.

I generally agree with most of McCain's positions, but he has been backing the "troop surge" to Iraq, which I don't agree with.

Obama will have a good chance if he is still as popular during the primaries as he is now. We'll see what happens between then and now.

Vote for me. I aim to fix copyright law, legalize pot and prostitution, force the FCC to step back to simply controlling who owns what frequency and not dictate what is on those frequencies, start a program for nation-wide broadband access (preferably wireless for awesome laptop ownage), and...lets be honest, I'd let the people who know a hell of a lot more about it than I do (generals and such) decide whats going to happen in Iraq.
