Topic: Valentines day is a comin!

While I normaly don't give a toss about this day (unless i'm in a relationship) I am giving some thought to giving someone some flowers. The thing is I did ask this chick out a while ago and it went ok but whne I asked about second time I got the "maybe next week" response, and I've had and heard some conflecting ideas as to what that actualy meant but the bottom line is I took it as her being unable to say no flat out to me.
But I can't help feel that maybe I missed a chance there had I followed up the following week (and a few people were surprised when I said I didn't - again conflicting ideas here) anyway I think I'll get something for her, she is a really nice girl after all.

But what about the rest of you? Is anyone getting anything for that special someone or are you expecting to get something?

Somehow it always works out that I'm not seeing/interested in anyone at this time of year. Possibly due to tons of school work going on. At the l ast three parties I was at I ended up making out with several drunken girls. Maybe they'll remember to get me something.

Heh. I kid. Sorta. Odds are we won't do much special because we've never done much for the holiday in the past. The exception is one year I woke her up with a pair of diamond earing. Nothing flashy since they were super tiny, but it worked out well. She had recently lost one of her everyday earings; they were these tiny little girl earings (probably just glass), and she was all down about it. Her earings are more or less the only jewelry she wears, so I thought it would be cool if she had something really nice. Since they're so small, most probably think they're still those cheap ones you get from the teen-girl stores, but we know they're special which, for us, makes them extra special.

I got my Girly one of these.

I won't tell you what I had engraved on it, as it's super mushy, and sweet. At least to us anyway.

I also bought her a really nice card, and, like Matt, a pair of diamond earing.

Not doing a damn thing.  And that's the way I like it.  I have had to come up with bullshit for 2 years thanks to my ex.  I am so excited to take some time off from that shit.

i maintain that the only good thing about valentine's day is the overwhelming insecurities that it gives single, drunk girls.

I think I'm going to make the most of Valentine's Day and make it my special day to personally attack anyone who's ever seriously hurt me emotionally Which totals to like 2 or 3 people.. A bazooka might be handy, but I'm more of a "flying fists of fury" appreciator
