Yea the hype for the PS3 is over, and now the systems can actually be found.  I recently heard that prices in Japan for the system have been slashed a bit.

We just sold our last one we had today at my work, but we had 3 systems (the $599 ones) in the backroom for a good 4-5 days before they all sold over this weekend.  Wiis are getting easier to find as well, but Nintendo hasn't sent out as many units as Sony has, at least where I work, which I find odd.  Our last shipment of 24 Wiis sold out over the course of 3 days.

This is great though, I wonder if he will actually pay up, I'm highly doubting it, but it would pretty damn funny if he did.

My opinion keeps swinging. Sometimes I think the PS3 is screwed, sometimes I think that in 12 months it will own all.

I am leaning towards the latter these days, in fact I am sure a year or so from now the PS3 will be up on top. Why? Exclusive games. The fact is that while the 360 is awesome as hell at the moment, all its hot titles are coming to the PS3.

Gears of War, Double Agent, Oblivion etc. are all being optimized for the PS3.

The market always sways towards the unique. In the end your Final Fantasy games, your Metal Gear Solids, your God of Wars will separate the PS3 from the rest.

That remains to be seen.  You're right about what you say, though.  Lots of stuff for the 360 is going to the PS3 and came from or went to the PC as well.

Anyway, yeah.  This is funny.  I hope they pay up.  The PA guys crack me up sometimes.

Yes it does. It is just my theory, but I shouldn't discount games like Mass Effect and Halo 3. I know you don't care for Halo much, but it is extremely popular and is certainly a trump card. I am just thinking of the PS2 and how exclusive gems continue to show up on it.

Also yes this is one of the few times a PA thing made me laugh.

Who is publishing Gears of War on the PS3?  I could swear I saw the Microsoft Game Studios logo on the cover of the game.

You are right it is Microsoft Games Studios. I could have sworn that it was supposedly a cross platform thing at E3.

So there is no way in hell Gears of War will come to PS3. That makes me happy, and not because I hate Sony or anything, but because it gives the consoles a bit more of an identity.

All over Knoxville, I see PS3's everywhere I go in stores. However, people are still waiting in lines to get Wii's on shipping days. A lot of people I know are either not buying a PS3, or playing XBOX260 or World of Warcraft. I think Sony will have to make some really interesting games to get people to lay down the money. Also, Blu-Ray will have to prove itself... which I'm not sure if it will or not.

No I meant Gears of War. I was just talking about all these games coming to the PS3 leaving very little exclusives for the 360.

I see PS3s all the time now, I have yet to see a Wii on sale anywhere.

And boy what a price tag! the "complete" 360 plus 2 games and another controller never cost that much when it came out! It didn't even break $1000
Simply put that's pretty f'ing expensive for a console even at release, but I don't see it failing or anything I just can't see that happening.
