Is it so wrong? Megan loves them, and she plays "Parachutes" a lot, and I find myself enjoying it. I mean, I used to think it was lame crap, but it's starting to grow on me. I really like the song "Sparks".

I've never disliked them. They've got some cool songs, even if their sound is a bit too repetitive at times. I have Parachutes.

Coldplay's okay, but I'd rather listen to U2, myself.
They sounds a lot like U2, if you ask me.

Coldplay should do a U2 cover album.
It'd be interesting.
Probably wouldn't even notice the difference b/t the two bands.

Yeah. I originally typed "Yeah, U2 sucks," but I deleted the line because it doesn't do justice to just how much U2 sucks.

I like Coldplay. It might be pussy music, but it's good pussy music. X&Y is a crappy album, but Parachutes and Rush of Blood to the Head have some great tracks. I love piano, though, and I don't think I'd like coldplay at all if it weren't for their piano.

I was a massive U2 fan. If you get a hold of their greatest hits that is till the early 90s, it is their best work.

Their last three albums or so make me want to hurt them.

just for the record, i think coldplay sucks.

u2 have a high degree of suctitude, but they can not hope to plummet to the depths that coldplay have achieved.

I got into Coldplay a few months ago. A Rush of Blood to the Head is an amazing cd, as is Parachutes. X&Y is good but doesn't hold up to the other two.

Now, I'll admit when a band I don't really like does a good song - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, Don't Panic and Talk are all songs Coldplay did right. However...

Let's start with Talk, shall we? The main riff of the song sounds like this. And the main riff to Computer Love by Kraftwerk sounds like... This.

Clocks? Sounds like this, and Speed Of Sound sounds like this.

I'd like them more if they wrote new music.

C'mon! I'm surprised no one has said it yet. Coldplay sounds nothing like U2, if you love U2 as much as I do I recommend a band called "The Music", any song will do by them. They're a hard band to download, their name brings in about 200k results that have nothing to do with the band itself.

As soon as Speed Of Sound came out I began yelling at anyone who said they were geniuses.

Also, the Music sound nothing like U2. Which is good for The Music. Their first album (self-titled) was way better, but the second one got kind of... Eh.

You really don't think they sound like U2? They may sound a bit more mainstream pop, but the singer's voice has Bono's resonance.

A Scouser, for you non-English types, is a person from Liverpool. His accent shines through pretty clearly sometimes. the Beatles, also, were from Liverpool but too middle-class to be Scousers. It's kind of a derogatory term.

Wow! You're right, I've never noticed that before. What do you think about Evanescence? I like some of their songs, but I think the lead singer tries to hard to belt it out. Almost like she's on broadway or something, not every note needs to be drawn out lady.

haha... I like AT as well. A friend introduced me to them in the late 90s with a music vid and I had a WTF reaction at the time. But I love the music.
