Eddie Griffin crashes Enzo.

You've probably heard about this elsewhere...

If you haven't seen it yet, give it a watch here:

WATCH IT

Quote
IRWINDALE, California (AP) -- Eddie Griffin crashed a rare Ferrari Enzo worth more than $1 million into a concrete barrier while practicing at a racetrack Monday, destroying the car but escaping uninjured.

The comedian was practicing for a charity race to promote his upcoming film, "Redline," when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale Speedway. Video footage showed the red sports car screeching before it ricocheted off the barrier with heavy damage to its front.

"Undercover Brother's good at karate and all the rest of that, but the brother can't drive," Griffin, referring to one of his past films, said after the accident. (Watch Griffin drive into the barrier, destroying the car Video)

The film's publicist, Wendy Zocks, said Griffin was "doing OK."

"He walked away completely unscratched, but probably a little shaken," Zocks said.

The Enzo, valued at around $1.5 million, was owned by the executive producer of "Redline," Daniel Sadek, whose exotic car collection is featured in the movie.

Sadek said that the car was damaged beyond repair and that he had "mixed feelings" about the wreck.

"I'm glad Eddie came out of the crash OK, but my dream car got destroyed," Sadek said. "I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought, there's people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world."

Only 400 Ferrari Enzos were ever produced, all between 2002 and 2004.

Griffin's credits include the comedies "Undercover Brother"; "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" and its sequel; "Date Movie"; and "Norbit."

Oh man.  That sucks for him.  I couldn't even imagine how I'd feel if I wrecked someone else's Geo Metro, much less a high-dollar car like the Enzo.

But yeah, I have heard that the Enzo isn't the easiest car to drive.

Ouch.  Poor bastard.  I wouldn't want to him with all the negative attention he's probably getting right now.

Looking at it again, I'm amazed at how badly the car understeered in that case.

They can repair it. Luckily the engine is located in the back of the car. But I gotta say, if I'm driving a 1.6 million dollar car and I see a concrete barrier 100 feet up ahead, I'm going to slow down a bit. Maybe that's just me though.

It did.  I think it has less to do with the car, though, and more to do with the fact that he was braking as he was turning.
Suck it, Pugnate.

I'm glad he's alright, but couldn't give a fuck about the owner of the car.  If you can throw down a million plus on a car you might drive once every two months you can afford to have that car trashed.  Fuck, I don't even lend my car to most people in case they crash it and it's only worth like 3 grand.

I would say most Ferrari owners who race their cars or allow them to be raced are prepared to part with them if they wreck them.  Obviously this guy wasn't one of them.

Yeah, It looked like he locked up the tires before he even started the turn.

Anyway, I feel bad for Eddie Griffin, the look on his face after he crashed pretty much said it all.  I'm pretty sure after a couple hundred grand that car will be good as new.
