Shooting at NASA Johnson Space Center
« on: Friday, April 20, 2007, 01:40:07 PM »
You've got to be kidding me....

Quote
HOUSTON (April 20) - NASA  evacuated a building at Johnson Space Center on Friday after a person with a gun was seen and a gunshot was reportedly fired, a NASA spokeswoman said.

Space agency spokeswoman Brandi Dean said it was not known if anyone was hurt, but Houston police and NASA security personnel were on the scene.

A local television station, reporting from a helicopter flying over the space center, showed NASA workers standing outside the building, which is an engineering office known as Building 44.

Police officers could be seen surrounding the building.

Johnson Space Center is home of Mission Control and the training center for NASA's astronaut  corps.

I am watching it on TV. Hey remember that crazy astronaut chick a few months ago? Who drove 12 hours to kill her love triangle rival while wearing a pamper?

How could we forget? But it's great that you brought that up. The networks will be all over that during this story, especially if this guy worked for NASA.

Let's hope he hasn't hurt anyone.

One hostage dead (male), and another female hostage was not seriously injured.  The gunman killed himself shortly after.

The gunman is a employee to a technical support firm that has a contract with NASA.

What the fuck?  Seriously, what in the name of God is wrong with these people?  What the hell does any of this ever accomplish, and what exactly is the appeal even if you're fucked in the head?  I don't get it.

In their state of mind it probably makes perfect sense but I don't think either of us are qualified know what makes such people do this and why it seems like a good (if only) idea.
