Used game sale happening at a store, so I picked myself up some goodies.  Upon looking for PSP games (want to pick up a few that I missed when I couldn't play them because of firmware), I discovered, by chance, Darkwatch!  For Xbox, only 12 bucks.  I'd found it for 10 online and it'd have been 3 and change for shipping, so this was cheaper, plus it contributed to the by 2 get one free thing.  I didn't really end up getting anything that I actually wanted for PSP, as my goal was to get Ultimate Ghosts n' Goblins, maybe Loco Roco, maybe Daxter... but they didn't have anything.  But I saw Lenneth for a decent price and was kinda' feeling like a good RPG, and Exit seemed pretty awesome.... so I nabbed those for cheap.  I also got Sy a present for his upcoming birthday, though that wasn't used.

Also, I spent 70 bucks on Warhammer today.  Went to Endgame on my lunchbreak and picked up a Techmarine + servitors pack, and the Veteran Space Marines pack.  These would be for the joint Space Marine army Sy and I are getting together.  So I'm all happy.  And poor.

Hell yeah. Techmarines and even more kick ass Marines.

Is Valkyrie just a remake of the oringinal PSone game? I know Wizall was a fan and always told me I should play the damned thing.

Valkyrie Profile was a very cool game and yes Lenneth is a port of the original.  For some reason I want to say its got some extra goodies like artwork or something but I'm not positive.

Yeah, it's got the usual CG cutscene stuff added.  Looks pretty sweet.

1.) how do you like VP:L?  I've played through the first 60% of the game twice on ePSXe but always stop (not the game's fault...something always comes up).

2.) How's darkwatch?  I bought it today new for $7.99 but won't be able to even unwrap it for a few days due to time constraints.

Heh, haven't tried either one yet.  Have had way too many games on my plate since I picked this stuff up.

Was playing through MGS and MGS2 with the intention of moving on to MGS3 which I never played, and all this while playing Metal Gear AC!D on PSP and the first game on an emulator, and I'm still sort of playing an hour or so of MGS2 here and there while I play other stuff.  Haven't beaten it yet.  I got Blood Omen and Soul Reaver working on the PSP, so I was devoting quite a bit of time to Blood Omen, though I'm not sure I have the stamina to finish it with everything else I'm playing.  Because of that I may hold off on playing Soul Reaver again, but time will tell.  I'm still attempting to finish up FFXII after 89 hours of play, and though I'm still loving it, it's eating up a lot of game time and probably will for another while yet.  Dawn of Mana is going to be the next thing I fully devote time to, though I've already given it a few hours to assuage my fears that it's as bad as people have said... and it isn't.  Apparently a lot of other people, and not fanboys, agree with me.  It seems most of the Mana fanboys are the ones doing the condemnation, and given that I *am* a total Mana fanboy, I'm a bit surprised that I don't find myself hating it.  I think it's actually pretty sweet despite the problems.  Oh, and I'm playing Princess Crown on PSP with a huge, several-hundred page Japanese translation guide to go along with it everywhere I take it, and after I finish that and FFXII I'm probably going to start on Odin Sphere.

So... yeah.  I worked real hard on some poetry projects and such, and now I'm just taking some time to relax before attempting to do anything productive.  But I'll let you know what I think of the games soon as I get to them.

Ok, I just played it for an hour or so after my last exam today.  Open it up, play it.  I had some fun with it, but it really seems like the kind of thing you'll love.  Like Serious Sam with physics and 'gore' (you can cut/shoot demon arms off and stuff) in a much cooler western vampire setting.  Give it a try and once you get past the first level or two it gets pretty fun.
