I just met the King of England
« on: Wednesday, July 04, 2007, 10:09:22 AM »
So, I'm at work today (yay work) and a guy came in to send a fax. When I rang him up I thanked him and wished him a good holiday. He sorta laughed and then (calmly) told me that this holiday is an afront to him because it celebrates the fact that he's not welcome here as he's the King of England. Good stuff.

I've heard stories about this guy before actually. He's supposedly been coming to my store for nearly a decade now and, according to the stories, was telling people he was the Prince of Sweden. Either the story changed or was misremembered. There was also another part of the story where the Secret Service actually came here looking for him a number of years before I started working here because he was sending threatening faxes out to government big wigs, at least one of which included threats to then President Clinton.

I have to say, now that I have a face to put onto this guy I'm a little disappointed. He didn't even have a big hat.

Aha, but the question still remains: did he have a small hat?

Interesting story, though.  That's pretty funny.

No hat at all. He was actually thinning a little which just ruined the image even more.

He could be telling the truth! The Prince of Sweden is in the line of succession to the British throne... maybe the 184 people ahead of him all died simultaneously, making him both the King of England and the Prince of Sweden. I guess no news outlets have picked up on the story yet  ;D

Didn't the rightful heir to the throne of england step down a few generations ago because he wanted to marry a divorced woman?  Maybe it's his offspring and he's planning a coup?

Speaking of coups, there's been like 100 articles on the front page of digg over the last week calling for a revolution.  Look, I'm not saying all Americans are stupid and lazy, but apparently a large portions of the ones on digg are....and I'd imagine it would a more educated portion of the American population that visited there.  Like two weeks ago there was impeachment articles, and then a week ago indictment articles.  "NOTHING IS WORKING! GET THE FUCKING GUNS!!"  Look assholes, electoral reform is the way to go and getting off your ass and organizing a movement to do it would be a lot easier than fucking blowing up military installations and hanging loyalists in the streets.  Fuck, no wonder the government is so fucked up....there's no counterbalance.  Every time they fuck up the people who care go about dealing with it in the worst way possibly....talking like crazy people.

It was King Edward VIII.
