I liked it, until I finished it and was talking with cools on IRC about it and he told me that.

I suppose I can see that.  I didn't look at it that deeply.  It was already kind of super heroey anyway, so it didn't seem too off kilter.

I had a hard time swallowing that myself.  But I still thought it was good overall.

My bro and I watched The Reef and it was pretty good. It's an Australian production, based on a true story. It drags on a bit but we still thought it was a good film with a genuinely scary scenario.

Just watched The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It was 'meh' at best.

Movies I'm about to watch:
The Company Men
I Spit On Your Grave
Casino Jack
The Fighter
Buried
Stonerville

I just have to decide which one I wanna sit down and watch.

Watched Repo Men earlier. It was "ok", though I love Jude Law and did like the premise of the movie.

Haha you just reminded me I watched that movie a couple of months ago.. I thought it took every action movie cliché and rolled it into one.

Repo Men was a pretty bad movie and I saw that twist coming along fairly early in the film.

Salt

It sucked.

EDIT
I suppose I could add some more to this. I wasnt expecting anything great out of it, but its a spy/action movie and Angelina is all hot and stuff so how bad could it be? Well...bad isn't the right word. Boring works much better. There just wasnt anything to hook you, to make it interesting.

Saw Coco Avant Chanel and enjoyed it very much. It's about the early years of Coco Chanel; played by Audrey Tautou. FYI it's in French.

OK, I tracked this down, and while I was impressed by the production and artistry, as well as Rachel Weisz's performance, I'm ambivalent about the film.  What it says needs to be said, and I guess Christianity will do as a proxy for the forces leading the world to the brink today.  Attacking them directly is all but impossible for those without a death wish.  Christianity in the modern era is relatively meek, and will endure negative propaganda peacefully.  On the other hand, I was raised a Catholic, and much of my family is Catholic in faith (even if I'm not) as well as by birth.  I resent the negative attention the movie heaps on Christianity, and by extension, those of us associated with it.

It is clear, though, that the story is meant as a warning to the modern world.  Angry fundamentalism run amok can destroy centuries of human enlightenment.  It already has.

Just finished Knight and Day.  It was an alright popcorn flick.  It would be a good movie to take a date on for girls that like action.

I liked the message of the movie better than the actual movie itself.
It was a decent popcorn flick.

Summer Wars

Theres a really round about story of how I heard of this movie involving Yakuza, my ipod, and a nonexistent app. The game hanafuda plays a big part in the movie and so my searching for information on the game itself led me to the movie. Theres an interesting take on the movie here. Not really sure how accurate that might be but it gives you a little indication of what to expect.

I really enjoyed it and watched it with next to no idea what it was really about. Its fun when that happens.

127 Hours -- good movie.  I liked it.
The Next Three Days -- worth watching, but in the end it's a forgettable thriller with plenty of cliche plot elements.

Red -- fun movie but in the end it's pretty forgettable.
All Good Things -- a good mystery.  I liked it overall.
The American -- a slow moving crime drama that wasn't bad.  Can't say it was great though.

I watched Skyline. It was very, very, very bad. Should've known since it was by the guys who did the AvP sequel.

It's basically Independence Day, Cloverfield and District 9 in one movie. Without actually getting any part right. I did like the alien designs and to be honest it got interesting in the very last 5 minutes. They should've just started the movie from that point instead of leaving it a cliffhanger.

The Girl Who Played With Fire - Pretty good, but not as amazing as the other two films in the series (Dragon Tattoo and Hornet's Nest).
The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest - Excellent conclusion to an overall really good series of movies.
Faster - Good and entertaining, but really nothing great...
