Well, I've worked for my Uncle's carpentry business since I was 17 years old. I've loved it, working with family, goofing around, and generally slacking, and getting paid $14 an hour for it. Well, I've been wanting into a different field for a while now, and I started school this past summer studying EMS/Fire Science. Well, A friend of mine told me about some job openings at The Ohio State University Medical Center, so I applied for a position as a Patient Care Associate. And I had the job interview today, and I got hired. It's right under a nurse basically. I take blood, check vitals, keep people comfy, check food intake, etc. So I'm pretty happy about it. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with an hour long lunch. $14.91 an hour to start. I wanted the job as it pays a little more than my current job, and I of course want the experience in a medical field.
Plus, I get to wear cool scrubs and get a dope security badge with my picture on it. I don't start until the end of November, but I got the job. I'm really excited about it.
