Topic: American Gangster

This movie is "out" and its in great quality, so I decided to watch it. If you're expecting something like Scarface or Goodfellas, you're going to be disappointed. This is a true story and it actually stays really, really close to the actual events of what happened. That being said, the movie can hit some boring points at times, but the story is very interesting. I say check it out.

Oh, yes -- I been wanting to see this one, since I first saw the trailer for it.

Ebert loved it -- 4 stars (out of 4)

Long movie. It's around 2 hr 35 mins, or so.

That's because it's two intertwined movies.  Seriously.  You get all of Denzel's character's story and all of Crowe's character's story.  It's a very good movie, and you have to see it in a theater with a good sound system, because the audio work is fantastic.
