Crushes
« on: Tuesday, December 11, 2007, 04:33:31 AM »
Anybody currently having one?

Crushes are awesome if you haven't had one in a long time, but then you remember how much they totally suck ass about a week into it. Plus I look back on them and become glad none of them worked out because they would have sucked the life force out of me.

Anyway, I got over one that was a partial crush, it still sucked, but it fizzled out about 2 weeks ago, so Im back on the swing of feeling normal again. That part always kicks ass. I really wish I could meet someone where I don't feel so pressured to fall in a relationship in, where I don't feel like its fucking all or nothing. Im really disliking the whole setup situation Im discovering, its just pointless pressure. When I want to meet somebody female, I wish to meet under the pretense of being friends, if something more comes out of it, great, if not, no big deal. Now if I feel like I'm under the influence of having a crush, I want to walk away, its really unwanted stress.

Currently there's a chick at work everyone is nudging me to. Actually from what I understand she is waiting for me to ask her out. I'll probably give it a shot, but I'm not feeling pressured like I have to make something out of it, which is a good reason to do it. But hey, shes into guy movies, enjoys similar music, and from what I've gathered from people, she even likes video games. Why not.

Sadly, haven't got a crush anymore.  The last crush was nearly a year ago.  We always tended to have lunch near the same area.  So, one day after a few weeks of telling my friends I'd approach her and at the least talk to her, I finally did.  I walked up to her, told her I thought she was gorgeous and walked away.  Haven't seen her since.
I should have actually done more, but I was talking to someone else at the time.  So this was just to make my day a little bit.  But in retrospect, I really should have done more.  A friend scouted her out for me and saw that the crush was watching Bloodsport on her laptop.  BLOODSPORT.  Needless to say, she approved of the crush.  I felt like such an idiot when I realized I blew it.

Hehe crushes are adorable :P I guess I kinda have a crush right now. I just have to keep it inside until the time is more appropriate.

Crushes are stupid.

I had this friend who would develop a freakin' crush on any semi attractive girl we met. The worst of it was when anyone I wanted to ask out he'd have a crush on.

"Hey man, I am thinking of asking her out for coffee or something."

"Yea...I really like her." -- followed by puppy eyes.

Once this happened thrice in one week haha.

haha it wasn't him actually. Though it was someone you knew.

And you'd be surprised how well Ardavan was doing in that area.

Yeah, that's not creepy...

Anywho, I'm not allowed to have crushes anymore. I supposed it's in part that I'm not supposed to given I'm pretty much locked into a relationship as long term as they get, but my mind just stopped creating crushes about eight years ago.

I don't "crush" really -- at least not for years -- I'm more into the fling.  I enjoy the chase.

haha.. i can't remember the last time i had a crush.  I made a rule for myself that no liking anyone unless it's going to be serious.  It's helped so far.

I remember the "first" one I had AGES ago.. it was more of a friend going to me and saying, "I have a crush on this guy, you need to have a crush too..." and she goes "that guy's cute, he's your crush!" hahah.. stupidly enough, i actually went along with it...  I was about 9 or 10.. But the guy IS a nice person.  I don't think I ever told him that story though.  i should someday.

There was this girl named Erin Eaton that I had a crush on all throughout middle and high school. She liked me too, but we were just scared shit less of each other and it just never came to be. About a year ago one of the most beautiful women I'd ever seen came into the restaurant I was working at and she kept staring at me. I didn't realize it until after she gone, but it was Erin Eaton, she really grew into herself.

how can you ever expect to find someone to be serious about if you won't take that first leap?

anyway, no crushes at the moment. one of my exes has been hovering around and sending me texts saying how sorry she is, how much she cares for me, how she's changed and all that junk, so that might end up interesting. we've had a terrible habit of going back and forth every 6 months or so for the last couple of years... bleh. to be honest, i'm just enjoying acting like a slut at the moment.

My last crush ended last St. Patty's day with spectacular drama when I flipped out after she rejected me.  Drinking all day + rejection = bad news.

I was also really starting to fall for my last girlfriend when I had to move away from Colorado which really sucked, but that doesn't really count as a crush.  In my experience, crushes have never really worked out for me.

Dear God! I know all about drinking and then making a move, it doesn't work. If its a bar slut as drunk as you are, then you might be ok, if its someone you want to actually be with and doesn't like it when you're drunk, you're SOL.

I had the same thing happen to me, my so called friend was pulling the strings and lying to use because he was obsessed with her and didn't want us to be together. So we tried to do what people do when they fight, hurt each other. We did  pretty good job, I don't talk to her anymore and she won't talk to me either. My "friend" is a miserable asshole and no one talks to him either, it basically split the whole group up.

I have a crush and bad. The weird thing is that she isn't all that attractive. My other friends make fun of her sometimes. I think she is hot as hell though and would go out with her in a second. She is also somewhat older than me. I dunno whats wrong with me.

well.. it'll happen :)  hehe i have faith in that.

i wouldn't want something to start from a flighty fancy..  I don't know.. when i meet people, i know if they're more of crush material and not serious stuff material.. it's a weird world.

angrykeeb.. how much older?

You can't control your emotions, the more you try to do so the more they'll go out of control. The best advice I can give you is this (as perverted as it may be). Masturbate to her, have her do whatever gets you off...no need to tell us what that is. After you clean yourself up, think about how you feel about this woman, do you feel the same way you did before you got off? If so, go for it, if not...think it out a little more.

You can certainly control some of your emotions. Maybe not love, but you can control others. A perfect example is Que not killing his neighbors. Lord knows he wanted to, but he controlled it.

Wanting to kill them is the emotion, actually doing it...well I'll see you on America's Most Wanted.

Dude that's the difference between me and my ex gf! It's normal man. We only broke up coz I was leaving Canada anyway.

Age is just a case of mind over matter: if you don't mind it don't matter.

So when Keelber is 40 or so, she won't want to have sex with him anymore.

Well I guess that's not really different from now.
