Topic: Arkadian Warriors sucks, but it reminds me of something

I really wanted to like this XBLA game, but it's too generic and mediocre.  It reminds me very much of some 3D cartoony, lightweight action RPG for the PC that someone posted here a long time ago.  I'm thinking it was idol who posted it.  Does anyone remember what that was?  Here are some images of the game, if that helps.

You're probably thinking of Fate. Those guys are now working on a multiplayer version (sorta) called Mythos.

Yeah, my first thought was Mythos. But I knew that there was something else.

That's the one.  Arkadian Warriors came right out of that.  I swear it's the same game with some modifications.

And really, Fate was just Diablo with some modifications.  Funny how that works.  I did like Fate, though.  It was a fun little game.  I keep waiting for a PSP version or something.  It isn't the kind of thing I'd really sit down at my PC to play.

I just played through the trial and I'm in agreement.  I, too, tried to like it, but it's just so bland.  Shame.

Well, I spent a couple of hours on Fate.  There's a lot more here than in AW.  It's not as pretty, but it's obviously what they copied and dumbed down.
