The researchers found that young men were much more likely to use pornography: 86% reported that they viewed such material in the past year.

In a related study 14% of college age men lie on surveys.

The study also linked regular porn use with risky behaviors, Carroll says. Regular porn users were more likely to go on drinking binges and more likely to have sex with multiple partners.
that's it, insinuate that porn is to blame for std's and unwanted pregnancies. both watching porn and fucking around are the results of being horny - one isn't the cause of the other. grrrr.

YOU MAY TAKE OUR LIVES, BUT YOU'LL NEVER TAKE OUR PORN.

They never said one caused the other. They said "linked," which means "correlated," which is basically the same thing as you said.

Also, your quote was a lie by omission:

Additional studies must be done to determine whether frequent porn use leads to greater acceptance of such behavior, which can put students at risk for a host of health problems, such as alcoholism and sexually transmitted diseases, he says.

Why is it stupid? It is a possibility, and it's worth knowing the truth.

yeah, well it's virtually impossible to prove. i watch porn, i also get drunk and if the planets are aligned just right, i might be lucky enough to screw a girl i don't really know. but the idea that i'd do such a thing because i've been affected by pornography seems ridiculous to me. i watch porn because i'm pretty much constantly horny, the same reason i happily have sex with strangers. if anything, porn gives me less motivation to go out and pretend i'm interested in what some drunk whore has to say in exchange for the slim chance of a fuck.

regardless, i love porn and don't like people giving it a bad name...

It's not going to make you run out and act psychotic, but it's all part of a general lifestyle and outlook.  I think it really depends more on your personality type and the kinds of stuff you do already... not to mention your background, etc.  I generally think that porn is destructive and does much to keep people from proper, healthy intimacy with their partners, but I certainly understand the attraction to it, and I don't think it necessarily outright destroys lives at the drop of a hat.  But again, I think it has more to do with the individual.  For some, it could likely cause a lot of problems.  For others, it might not.  I find it morally reprehensible generally speaking, and I can't imagine doing that kind of shit for money, but that's another topic, really.

There is a positive correlation between sales of ice cream and violent crime.  I think I've mentioned this before.  It applies here.  The same idiots that blame pornography for drinking binges would probably try to ban ice cream if they found out.  So, shh!  Don't tell them.

I agree with Beo that its never made me go out and bukkake some girl in a hotel room. However, I also agree with Que. It took me a while to realize that girls really don't like being "jackhammered" (well, most don't) and cumming on their faces isn't romantic.

I can't tell if that was a joke or a misinterpretation.  I guess what I meant to say in either case, since it wasn't very clear, was more that I've known guys who've started using porn as a sexual crutch maybe when things weren't so good in their relationships or whatever, and it's been harder for them to get back to fixing the sexual intimacy problem with their partners because they could just sort of get off and get it done and then not have to worry about it.  While porn < sex in all capacities, it's still a hell of a lot easier than dealing with another person's feelings, in bed or otherwise, and that can lead to neglect pretty quickly.

I misunderstood, I'm actually quite drunk...no typos so far. I thought you meant that some people take what they see on screen and inject it into their personal lives.

And I don't doubt that some do.  I've heard a couple funny stories that would indicate such, anyway.
