Quarentine

Megan and I watched this when it was in theaters and it was a welcome surprise to me of how good it was seeing how few horrors movies are good these days. It's actually a remake of a Spanish film called [REC] which involves a freelance reporter and her cameraman getting trapped in a zombie massacre. It's filmed all from the cameraman's perspective and some of the shots are pretty creative and it's even good for some nice popout moments, especially the last 10 minutes which get pretty terrifying. I recommend checking it out if your up for a decent horror movie experience.

I'm surprised, the previews and such looked really stupid, but they didn't really show much so it was hard to say.

Yea I didn't think much of it when I saw the trailer for it either, but it actually came off much more clever and well done. It's a pretty simple premise but they managed to not fuck it up.

Actually, I think one trailer had a scene that looked kinda' neat for a second, which made me wonder if there might be something to it, but the whole "oh noes we're dragging the girl away into the dark" thing made me think otherwise.

Was the whole thing green like everything they kept showing, like night vision?

No, the night vision is a very short part in the movie. I think the only shortcomings of the movie are some typical mechanical cliches that pop in cause its a horror movie. Like the flashlight on the camera starts shorting in and out in one part, but its not a nuisance that ruins anything.
