I always hate hearing about expansions being planned in advance of the release of a game, but if the stuff we get with the shipping version of Disciples III is anything like what we got with II, I don't think there's reason to care.  They gave us a ton of game before, and the expansions were just gravy.

If a game is littered with content and is quite time-consuming, I don't mind knowing ahead of time that there will be DLC and/or expansions.

When it's severely lacking in the stock-game knowing an expansion is coming, I might just wait for a Gold Edition Pack or something.

I know nothing about Byteshield or their methods, but the little blurb there is relatively reassuring.

I was hoping someone would know something about this Byteshield, since I don't...

Yowch.  That's not so good.  Hmm... I'll have to watch that the next time my virus doesn't kill my sound drivers.

The graphics look gorgeous in that GS video, I must say.
Damn shame the complaints of monotony run rampant from GS, once you get to the later 3rd of the game.

Also, its Metacritic score is only 55.

The reviews that are out there listed and linked on Metacritic - wow, they're just all over the place...

Hmm, I'll likely get it.  The art design was some of what I loved most about the past games, and this one just looks fucking gorgeous.  And honestly, I could go for it being a little easier.  Disciples II was fucking hard.
