It's not Japan's fault!  Japan is wonderful country with a beautiful language.


I thought this was funny though:

"Sakura": The media. All of the celebrities on TV have plastic surgery -- constantly trying to morph into an unattainable ideal. In Japan, if there's one example, it applies to all, so if you fall through the cracks, you stand out and internalize that difference.

Haha, someone had to say it.

It's weird over there that way, though.  It's sort of like a hivemind.  The needs of the whole vastly outweigh the needs of the individual, in almost any circumstance.  It makes for a very different culture on a lot of levels, even just down to the way groups work together in business, etc.
