Expecting rain here tomorrow, apparently.  So it's all good.

Snow from a few days ago has melted quite a bit leaving large ugly patches of mud snow. All the sand and salt on the roads has been sprayed to the side of the road too, so all of the remaining snowbanks that were once sightly are now brown and disfigured.  Tomorrow it could be any one of these: hot, cold, raining, snowing, foggy, windy or icy.  New England weather is a sloppy mess.

I've heard that there are some low pressure systems moving through the area soon.

I said "bad".  But actually, I'm in a brief window of sunny, above-freezing weather.  It has rained or been socked-in cloudy here for about an eon.  And in a few hours, the temp is supposed to drop and then snow.  Sucks immeasurably.

It's been around 40 here for the past couple days, so it's actually a welcome little break, even though it was still pretty shitty. It was better than freezing cold with snow everywhere. But that is supposed to be coming back tonight. Come on spring and summer...

You people act like I've never seen snow before or am somehow unaware of the inconveniences.  My wife comes from Connecticut, where they used to lose power for weeks at a time because of snow and had to heat water on the stove if they wanted hot water.  Besides, I never said I wanted snow.  I want rain.  I live in a fucking desert.  That may be peaches for the rest of you, but I fucking hate it.  I like it to actually be winter when it's supposed to be winter.  You try coming out here and being on water rationing because you're in a constant drought and see how much fun you have, or having rolling blackouts because everyone overuses their air conditioning to a ridiculous degree.  And then try walking down the street where you work and watch people hose off the sidewalk instead of going to get a goddamn broom because they're so oblivious.  It's great fun.

I can't speak for the rest, but I was talking about the three days of rain and gloominess.  And yeah, I hear you about the droughts, that sucks too I'm sure.

Oh, well... you guys don't seem to understand how much I like rain, then.  It's been raining here for almost a week straight thanks to a storm.  I'm in heaven.  It had let up but started again today, though it's pretty light now and probably won't last.  And we probably won't see any more until March or something.

On a side note. I got one of those nature sound CD things for Christmas. Well, I put it in for the first time over the weekend to take a nice peaceful nap. I put it on something called "Wilderness downpour" or something like that. I fell asleep in a few minutes and it was pretty relaxing, some birds here and there, rain hitting leaves, it was nice, and then all of a sudden a fucking dinosaur or something starts roaring in the background! Whoever thought that was a good idea to put in there was an idiot. It's nice peaceful and relaxing and then roaring. It was crap...thought I'd let you guys know...

Don't get me wrong.  I too find the sound of rain relaxing.  Then I look outside and it just makes me depressed.  "What a shitty day it is".

Hahaha. Yeah. It's really weird.  It's like a loud whistle like roar. No idea what it's supposed to be.

Anyway, it's getting pretty bad here. I'm looking out from the patio right now, and it looks like a blizzard outside. Looks to be about a 5 or 6 inch layer of snow on the cars out there. Glad I don't have to do anything tomorrow. Off of work, and no class. Might just get some video game time in.

We're supposed to get 18 inches of snow here in the next few days. We already have 3 or so. Just had to drive home from work and the roads are terrible (even the highways). Didn't make it up my driveway, I had to park at the bottom and hike to my house. Good times.
