Oh one of my friends told me about these.  These are like Mystery Science Theater 3000, right?

Why did you have to tell me about this?  I love MST3K.  Too much.

In the not too distant future...

One of my favorite shows ever. I'm tempted to buy one of these new ones just to see how it is. I saw a few on there, like The Fifth Element, that might be gold.

I saw New Moon yesterday (Twilight Part 2).
Was NOT impressed with it.
It was more on and off than a light switch.

I saw Twilight with Jennie way back when.  I already was sort of not wanting to like it because it's a chick flick, but what really got me was when the girl sees the main vampire dude in the sunlight.*  Instead of her being like, "Wow, that's pretty weird," she says "Wow.  You're beautiful."  I mean sure I'm watching a movie about vampires, but that really just took any bit of reality out of the movie for me.  No one would react that way, not even someone madly in love with the vampire.  It sounds stupid, but it's how I took it.  It just solidified the fact that there is nothing redeeming about the series, it just exists to get girls in a tizzy.

* The vampires in the Twilight series don't burn up or disintegrate in the sun.  Instead, their skin sparkles like diamonds.

Twilight series (of movies) got nothing on Let The Right One In (movie), if you ask me...

I didn't wanna start a new thread and this might be the most relevant one..

Anything is possible. I met a teenager (my friend's son actually) who thinks that Fable and Dragon Age are "gay" BUT Twilight is "cool" and "awesome." In his defense, he's 16. While we've all done stupid things or had strange opinions at 16 nothing struck me as stranger than that particular opinion. How the fuck is Twilight "cool" or "awesome" unless you're a teenage girl?!

That experience has thoroughly convinced me that something's wrong with the upcoming generations and I won't be able to relate to them, ever.

Maybe he likes the idea of submissive women fawning over brooding metrosexuals.
