Top 100 SNES Games
« on: Saturday, January 30, 2010, 06:06:37 PM »
I was stocking up on SNES games to prepare for being snowed in and I decided to use a list as a reference of what games to get. So I used this list, it's pretty good and a great way to kill a couple of hours. The top five is pretty predictable, but the #1 SNES game is always the same on any list.

If you like that, there is also the Top 100 NES Games list, I haven't read that one yet.

I'll have to check it out in detail later, but yeah, A Link to the Past and Super Metroid are always at the top of every list.  It's hard to argue with that, really.

Pretty good list.  Though it's somewhat disappointing that they ranked Mega Man X2 and Donkey Kong Country 2 lower than their predecessors.  I think they were regarded as being superior games to their originals.

The list brings back some memories, but I have not actually played most of those games.  I think the first one I played going through the list was Cybernator... number 65.

Chrono Trigger could argue that.  Putting it at #6 is bullshit.  HAS to be at least top 3, if not number 1.

I like it a lot too, but if you aren't super hardcore into the usual JRPG thing, it loses a lot of points.  Platformers and action/adventure games have more universal appeal.

I will say that my personal overall top 5 might be all SNES games.  Amazing...and sort of sad at the same time.  Probably a decent indictment of the video game scene since.

I don't think I've ever seen a list where Chrono Trigger was number one. Well, unless it was an RPG list.

I've never beaten Chrono Trigger, not even last year on the DS. Also, like a dumbass, I beat

.

I'm going to give Shadowrun another shot, I've tried playing it before, but I always get stuck and then killed. However, now I have a controller (PSP) so I hope my accuracy will go up.

Good list.  Takes me back.  I loved the Shadowrun version on the SNES.
