Project Offset... another one goes to the dark side?

If you don't remember what Project Offset is:

Watch from the third minute to refresh your memory...

It looked absolutely spectacular 4 years ago.... it still looks good now.

More info from Wiki:

Quote
Offset Software is a video game development company based in Newport Beach, California. It was founded by Sam McGrath, Travis Stringer and Trevor Stringer, who all formerly worked for S2 Games developing Savage: The Battle for Newerth,[1] which won the grand prize at the Independent Games Festival in 2004.[2]

The company's first game, as yet unreleased, is the working title "Project Offset". It is a game in the first-person shooter genre set in a fantasy world, though videos have shown third-person close-quarters combat as well. It has been showcased on Attack of the Show!.[3]

In February 2008, it was announced that Offset Software had been acquired by Intel.[4] The reason for the acquisition is to offer a game engine solution to go hand in hand with the purchase of the Havok engine in 2007.[5]

OK so now it seems like this is going to be an Xbox 360 title:

This surprises me because Intel bought them, so why would they be developing a Xbox 360 game? Maybe that's just bad intel (pun intended).

edit:

Whoops. IGN says PC and 360.

I believe I saw it elsewhere that Shacknews just didnt mention PC. It makes no sense otherwise.

OK so basically the game was picked up by Intel to work with their video card project. Intel were working on Larrabee:

It was going to be a general purpose GPU, which could still kick ass at games.

It was supposed to be out early Feb., but they seemed to have had major problems with their first venture into this field, and the card has been pushed back indefinitely.

It is cool of Intel to still release this game.

Well, that sucks. I wanted a fantasy FPS. Like Oblivion without the shitty combat.
