I'm not excited about this at all.  I've seen the cartoon a few times and find it pretty stupid.  Plus it's Shamalyan (sp?), who I consider a hack at this point.  You can only ride one good movie through a flood of crap for so long.

I like his directing style, but his stories are pretty stupid.  The plus here I guess is that it isn't all his creation.

I don't think his stories are bad necessarily, they're just entirely misadvertised.  This is something else entirely, though.

The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable were all excellent movies. It wasn't all a wave of crap.

Unfortunately his last two movies were pretty poor. It is a shame, because he is one of my favorite directors.
