Most of them have weird shaped heads.  Almost like the classic alien humanoid.  Especially 1st column, 3rd row.  She is an alien; I'm pretty sure.

I will agree with Scarys assessment.

I don't get fashion models at all. If I was a fashion designer I would hire the most smokin' models I could find.

Those are standard modeling agency headshots. They are taken without any make-up on so whoever sees them (the photographer, make-up artist, etc.) knows what they have to work with. Models are picked based on the overall structure of their face (if shooting faces up-close), the rest is make-up, lighting and retouching. High fashion is about exaggeration; uniqueness through mild weirdness. It's about picking models based on their potential for standing out, a living canvas.

I know and have worked with a few models that you'd probably never notice on the street, at best you'll consider them "pretty", but not "hot", yet they produce some strikingly beautiful images. Not to mention that models have to keep their weight down so they all look like sticks in real life.

I agree. In general I think women shouldn't use make-up on a daily basis. It really ought to be exclusively an occasional or occupational thing.

Also, was the second-last one from a zombie movie?! haha
