Monkey attack
« on: Tuesday, June 22, 2010, 05:31:59 AM »
Last week I went to these hills/mountains a couple of hours outside the city. There's monkeys all over the hills but they've congregated at the top because that's where people tend to have picnics and leave behind garbage for them to eat. I was walking along a path a few meters behind a family and a monkey leapt out of a tree towards a 10 year old girl in what looked like an attack position. He grabs a plastic bag out of her hands in midair and then lands right beside her. She screamed and the monkey ran away with the bag and climbed into the trees. Then that monkey was joined by others and they opened the bag and had a feast.

Monkeys are awesome.

I had a picture taken with a small monkey in the Dominican Republic.  I have never seen a monkey except in zoos, much less touched one of them.
