The "Let's play a game" thread
« on: Saturday, August 28, 2010, 12:03:25 AM »
Figured I'd make a thread here for game nights since we've been playing stuff on a weekly basis. It can also help to get more people in on it.

Tuesday night I wanted to play some L4D2, gpw and I played the other night and it was the first time I finally got to play it. If anyone else is interested just post below, we typically meet up on the IRC OW channel.

Also if anyone else wants to start something with another game feel free to post here.

I still have L4D2 installed. If and when, I'm on Steam, which is often - I'd be so down to killing some zombies.

I've still yet to try that darn Alien Swarm, which I got installed.

If I can ever get my PC cleared of viruses I'm definitely down to give it a whirl.  I really need to start playing some games again.

I want to play Starcraft 2 with all of you guys but there seems to be a general disinterest for the game's online play component here.

I'm not really an RTS guy, so no SC2 for me.

And apparently no L4D2 either. Steam has taken up the habit of deleting half the game files from my hard drive whenever it sees an update for the game. I played it last week just fine, but then they updated and now it wants me to download 4GB of stuff I already had. No idea why its doing it but unless I get to a book store and update with my laptop then its a no-go. And even then it'll only hold until they update again...which with their mutation gametype things seems to be weekly. This is going to get really annoying, really fast.

But I'm down for some Alien Swarm (until they update it), Guild Wars, Demigod, or maybe even some Doom 2/Skulltag action.

I really need to get back into GW with you.  We were making some real progress, heh, and GW2 is right around the corner.

Looks like L4D2 is out, Idol is having too much Steam trouble. We were thinking about some Alien Swarm action. Belmont, gpw, you guys in?

Not tonight, I have to wake up early tomorrow, maybe later this week though.
