Yea they should have done that before the Steam sale, because it was the only reason I didn't go for some of their games.
I almost wonder if the Steam sales caused a sudden surge which their servers couldn't keep up with, and they were like... fuck it.
Great points, Pug - I didn't even think about that. There's no need for this constant Internet-connection DRM system for SP portions, anyways. They should have a working offline mode like Steam for games w/ SP portions, anyways - since you are forced to have a U-Play account, in the first place.
When buying the Steam version of any recent UbiSoft game (except RUSE), you got to deal w/ both Steam and U-Play. Steam is enuff DRM, as far as I'm concerned.
The other day, yeah - I had trouble for a few moments, trying to get POP: The Forgotten Sands going as it couldn't find its Net connection. So, I'm hoping this game gets it removed, too.
