I remember playing Neighbour's From Hell from JoWood.  I liked that game.

I'm not surprised about this...
After the whole disaster of how Alpha state Gothic 3 was; the nasty divorce b/t Piranha Bytes and Jowood; and w/ a lot of the public wasn't thrilled w/ Arcania.

I played some game from them that was like a really hard, WWII-themed X-COM: Enemy Unknown/UFO Defense.  It was cool, but really buggy.  I was really deep into the missions when I got to a mission where I died on a certain turn no matter what I did.  It wasn't bleeding or anything like that, because I tried to restart the mission but the same thing happened.  I had no earlier saves.

I asked for support on their support forum and was met with silence.

RPGWatch -> JoWood looks like all their insolvency plans to save the company have failed to.
JoWood will be liquidating everything.
Goodbye and RIP, JoWood.

Several sources report that JoWooD's insolvency process is moving forward, unfortunately not in the desired direction.

Negotiations with possible investors, and with them the intended restructuring plan, have failed.
JoWooD pulls back the application to pursue a restructuring plan.
Thereby the insolvency with a planned restructuring becomes an insolvency without a positive continuation prognosis.
This means the liquidation proceedings will start shortly.
The daughter company JoWooD Distribution Services GmbH files for insolvency on April 21st 2011.
Trading of the JoWooD shares at the Vienna Stock Exchange has been suspended.
