But the interesting bit is this:

Also starting tomorrow as part of Only On PSN, we’ll also be offering a selection of rare classic games in the PlayStation Store: God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere and Ring of Red.

So I guess they got their software PS2 emulator going, because I doubt they would go through the trouble of actually porting those.

Have all of them but Grim Grimoire and Ring of Red, and I've wanted the former for ages. Never did get around to grabbing it, though. Is it super hard to find/expensive now?

Not sure. I looked at it when I ordered Odin Sphere a couple months ago, but saw RTS and decided to hold off. I dont think it was all that expensive.

Just looked, $21.99 from an amazon seller, or $40 from Amazon themselves.

So, thinking about the emulation I wonder how exactly this works. Are they doing anything special to the games to get them to run? Perhaps they could release the emulator to download to your PS3 allowing you to use the collection you already have? Even if it was just for specific games it would be something.

I suspect they'll do it just like the PS1 games: each game comes within a self-contained emulator that runs the game and manages its options. Essentially each game looks like an individual PSN downloadable.

Yeah if they just released a straight up emulator for PS3 then how would they resell you these games?
