It's kind of funny, when he took over The Daily Show I didn't like him at all because of the massive leftist slant.  Now I like him and cheer him on, especially for things like the links Cobra posted in the "Tax the rich" thread, but I do have to disagree with him when he says he isn't an activist.  I think he is, even if it is only to counteract Fox News.

And yeah, fuck Fox News.  The propaganda spewing out of there is ridiculous.  Again I refer to those links in the tax the rich thread.

I don't get the hating on presidents personally either.  Was G.W. Bush an idiot?  Probably.  Did he deserve to be president?  Probably not.  Did he purposefully try and destroy the country?  I don't think so.  He's just a guy that was doing what he thought was best.  I'm pretty sure he was horribly misguided and did a lot of terrible things.  But to think of him as someone willfully trying to harm this place, make a lot of profits for Halliburton, or whatever else is a bit silly.  And this is even more the case with Clinton.

I'd love to get a beer with any president.  Ever.

Per the OP: I remember watching the video when it first came out.  I was very happy he came out swinging.  The GOP smear campaign on Clinton was entirely unjustified.  It was shamefully political and entirely untrue.  I think a more apt criticism of Clinton's foreign policy was that he tried to do much with too little support from the rest of Washington.

Clinton happened to preside over a great period of time in America.  He wasn't responsible for the good times, of course.  That stage was set by better men who preceded him.  But at least he didn't screw things up too badly.  Bush, on the other hand, presided over the events which led to our current situation.  He's not evil; he's simply an incompetent boob.  So I don't hate him.  I do hate the forces that took advantage of his idiocy and drove the country to the brink of doom.
