Video editing help
« on: Friday, October 21, 2011, 12:01:27 AM »
HELP! OK long story short. The TV show thing I was working on. My producer friend deceived and lied and skipped out because he was working on another project. Everything is done, I just need to edit this freakin' thing myself. So I tried both Corel video studio and Adobe's Premier and the main issue I am having right now is that for some reason while the video from camera one is fine, the one from camera two is lagging like crazy. We used different cameras and basically the canon camera feed is lagging but only in the editing software. Any ideas? Should I compress it first? AHHHH.

Also, shall I use Corel or Premier?

I have to finish this soon.

Two different formats. 2nd camera is probably using HDV, H.264 or something similar; formats which are very CPU intensive and not editing friendly. Convert it to your main camera format and then edit it. What are the formats btw?

I never used Corel. Latest version(s) of Premiere are supposed to be very good (I used Premiere 1.5 way back before switching to Mac).
