Science nerds: free awesome
« on: Tuesday, August 28, 2012, 05:22:46 PM »
http://www.stellarium.org/

You're welcome.

Using this for my astronomy class. Professor took us through it a bit in lab today and he's got a bunch of custom stuff set to use it for home labs for class. I'm so excited for this class. I'm hoping my complete lack of math skills doesn't interfere too much. Just got this set up on my computer and I have to stop fucking with it and actually do my assigned reading, which is very difficult, because... STARS SO PRETTY.

Oh man, I haven't touched Stellarium in ages! Thanks for the reminder :D

I used to explore around in Celestia as well but I think Stellarium is more comprehensive overall.

So you mean to tell me you knew about this and didn't share? I'm shocked. Shocked, sirs.
