Extra Copies
« on: Sunday, October 21, 2012, 06:04:47 AM »
Hey dudes, I've got some extra copies of games on my hands.

Civilization 5
Torchlight 1
Cubemen

If anyone's interested just PM me and I'll either send it via Steam directly or send you the key.

I'll update this list since I usually end up withe extra copies through bundles.

I'm interested in Civ 5. But only if no one else wants it. I'd have to download it, plus Fallen Enchantress comes out this week I think so I'll have my TBS covered either way.

I also have some extras of my own I can give out:

Half Life 2 (2 copies)
HL2: Episode 1
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
The Ship (2 copies)
SEGA Classics: Virtua Fighter 2
Nuclear Dawn
Natural Selection 2

That Virtua Fighter 2 PC...
Does that work w/ X360 Controller?
Does it support any Online MP?

Fixed.

Dunno what Virtua Fighter supports. Probably not online play since its basically the Genesis port in an emulator.

Ok, just checked my Steam inventory and here's my current list of extras:

Torchlight 1 (2 copies)
Cubemen
Audiosurf
AaAaAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity
Amnesia
Portal
Terraria
War of the Roses

For Civ 5 I have a key which can be redeemed on Steam. Idol, you're winning that race so far :P

Also, if anyone wants an indie game that was on Indie Royale let me know in case I have an extra key. A lot of the bundles included a some games I already owned on Steam but I still got a Steam key for them. Let me know which one in particular and I'll check if I have an extra key for ya ;)

Ok, unless Idol objects I'm sending the Civ5 key to Cools ;)

EDIT:
Btw, I also have an extra copy of Dragon Age Origins through Gamersgate.com (basically they give you a key which you can activate through Origin or you can download their installer).

In Steam you can check your inventory by clicking the little icon in the top right corner (next to your username), then select "0 new items in your inventory" it will load up your current inventory/gifts list.

I tried last night but I can't send them to you until you accept my friend invitation. If you've already accepted it, I'll send them as soon as I get home tonight :)

It just occurred to me that I could alternatively send Steam gifts via e-mail too. Well, you ought to be on my list anyway :P

How do you guys randomly end up with games in your Steam inventory? All mine has is useless stuff (hats), half of which aren't even tradeable.

For me I got HL2 and EP1 from buying the Orange Box and already owning those 2. Then the last christmas sale giveaway I ended up with another HL2, Oddworld, and Virtua Fighter (probably some others I traded away earlier). The Ship, Nuclear Dawn, and Natural Selection 2 extra copies were given to people that already owned the games.

Also, Amazon DVG is known lately for selling crazy bundles - in which you get ALL keys for Steam versions of games.

Often, these crazy bundles might have a game you already have in there - but there's some game(s) in there that you're actually missing; and the bundle is at such a highly discounted price that it's worth it alone for maybe even the one game you're missing!

I bought the latest Humble Indie Bundle, and it came with Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC. I already had both. I tried to add it to Steam to get an extra copy and it just told me I already owned it. So I'm assuming the key is still good. Who wants it?

Got some keys from the Humble Deep Silver Bundle!

They're 3 Steam keys divided as follows:

One Steam Key for: Risen 2, Sacred 2 Gold, Saints Row 2, and Saints Row: The Third

One Steam Key for: Dead Island GOTY and Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package (DLC)

One Steam Key for: Metro 2033, Risen, and Sacred Citadel

Kind of a strange grouping of the games and DLC but whatever.

If any one's interested let me know.

Awesome offer - but I own MOST of those games already.
So, it won't be me!

I'm only missing:
Sacred 2: Gold on Steam, even though I have it DRM-FREE from GG already;
and missing completely Sacred Citadel.

It'd be a waste for me to take one of those keys that'd be wasting keys on mostly on games I already own.

I'll might wind-up buying a $1.00 HIB just for the soundtracks and to have Sacred 2: Gold on Steam. Might not. I dunno.
I can wait for Sacred: Citadel & Dead Island: Riptide to brick down in price in a sale.

It was too good to pass up at $5.50 (beating the current average) to get all but Riptide.

I was really just in the mood for donating anyway and I got some neat soundtracks out of it, although the Saints Row 3 soundtrack is lacking :P

Most of SR:TT soundtrack was probably licensed-music, I'd guess.
There's only listed to be like 8 tracks on the original score, according to HIB.

I'm betting the Risen 2 and Sacred 2 Gold OST is probably worthwhile.

Damn, I wouldn't mind Saints Row II but I don't really need the rest. Metro 2033 I wanted to play, and I'm mildly curious about Risen 2 and Sacred 2, but I know for a fact I'll never have time to play them. I should just look for a cheapo copy of the first SR games. After playing 3, it made me wonder what I might have missed.

I really liked Risen 2. If you like Risen 1 - which I think is A LOT like Gothic 1, BTW - you'll like Risen 2. Risen 2's combat takes some getting used to, though - since the cam's locked in Risen 1, but unlocked in Risen 2. Once you get used to it - you'll be fine. But, the rest of the game is really good - and they absolutely nail the pirate-theme.

Sacred 2: Gold is awesome. If you want a tough open-world Diablo 2-type of ARPG and grind-fest, this one's a damn good one. Only thing is - story is nothing really special. And, it can be a pain in the ass to get going right on Win 7. Make sure you get the Unofficial Patch (only can be used on S2: Gold Edition), too.

SR2 was pretty good. But, it's a technical nightmare when it came out. And, it can be a pain on modern PC's - so, you might want to look for some mods like Gentlemen of The Row Mod and anything else to get SR2 working.

I wish SR1 would get a PC port.

Metro 2033 is also awesome. It feel like a very linear STALKER type of game - but w/ an awesome story.

God, that Deep Silver Bundle was such an awesome deal. It's too bad I already owned most of it somewhere already, or I might've jumped on it. I didn't even buy it for the soundtracks, surprisingly enough - since I'm usually a sucker for OST's. I don't know.
