Woo!Probably due to everyone picking up Unity and Unreal Engine, the old free edition of GM was just too limiting. The old free edition limited your game to 5 "room", 20 objects, and limited the number of lines your script could have. Now you basically get the main GM program for free.
There is a little difference between the old Standard edition and the new free Standard edition. The old one used to allow exporting for Mac OSX and Windows, but the new one only allows Windows. You'll have to upgrade to Professional to get that now. If you bought Standard before this (or got it free in that giveaway a few months ago) then you will still have Mac export.
Anyway, if you wanted to try make a game and dont know any programming, here you go. I've been working my way through tutorials and need to dive into a project.
