Well fuck me if that doesn't look super cool. First thing that's grabbed me for new console generation thus far.

Running around a dense populated jungle, jumping into a spacecraft, then seamless flight from planet surface to outer space to another planet's surface--the holy grail for those of us who get into that shit.  I have goose bumps right now.  Looks awesome.  Let's see if it delivers the open and vast experience in my head right now.

I'm home now.  It's certainly visually stunning and shows off some nice technology.  Is it fun?  I suppose that is the most important question.  I'll have my eye on it.

For me I think it comes down to what they do with it and how big the scope is. But it's sure a good trailer, has me really curious.

We talked about this briefly when the trailer came out on IRC, but this reminds me of Spore.   I have a feeling all the procedurally generated content won't be varied enough to make it that interesting.

If it does though, damn!

I know I'll enjoy it. I spent a lot of time in Minecraft just finding caves and exploring them. Then I can jump into a spaceship, fly into SPACE, and then land on another planet to do it all again? I think this will be the last game I'll ever have to buy.

Yup, I do spend a lot of time building in Minecraft, but exploring is the best part.

One of the guys from the dev team was on GiantBomb's live stream just now and he was saying when he plays, he just finds the biggest space station he can find and attacks it, to see how long he lasts until he dies. Sounds like a really open and interesting game.
