I still don't get why they're even bothering bringing this game to PC.

It wasn't critically acclaimed, in fact I believe it was unanimously reacted to with an unimpressed "meh." PC communities have not been clambering to get their hands on it; there hasn't been any outcry about it. No one is asking for it, not even for the PS4. We all generally accepted as an Xbox One exclusive that can just as well stay there and die there.

Crytek is just scrambling for a cash-grab.

I liked it :-\

I think I spent more time in multiplayer than I did single player.

I got it for free in a twitter giveaway though, so there was no question of whether it was worth the money I spent on it.

Haha well my opinion of the game itself isn't really worth that much since I haven't played it. But I'm mainly commenting on the administrative side of the gaming industry. It just feels like another shoddy port that will result with stupid reactions like "Oh, look how poorly it's selling on the PC, let's just stop making PC games altogether."

@RyseGame

To avoid any confusion: We recommend a GPU with 2GB of VRAM for #Ryse - if you want to play at 4k however, 4GB of VRAM are recommended!

Of course, Crytek's scrambling for $.

They supposedly were in financial trouble:

Digital Foundry / Eurogamer -> Their analysis on technical performance + graphics quality w/ Ryse PC.

As a visual showcase then, the appeal of Ryse remains undiminished, and for those with capable enough PCs who go into the experience with their eyes open on the rather spartan gameplay, there will be much to enjoy. This should hopefully be the Ryse experience with no compromise, tailored to the wants and needs of the user. It won't be everyone's cup of tea - but we'll level with you: we can't wait to play the final game.
