GOG Connect

Link your GOG and Steam accounts to unlock select Steam games on GOG! Current list appears to be:

Note that many of the games only have a short window in which they can be redeemed, currently 5 days. So you have 5 days to link your accounts and unlock them. Which probably explains why they are getting slammed and I'm having a hard time getting the stuff to unlock.

EDIT: finally got my stuff to go through. 8 games totaling $99.92, now on my GOG account! Hooray!

I have Dawn of Discovery on Steam, which is the North American release of ANNO 1404, unfortunately it doesn't register that it is the same game.

UPDATE:
Today morning GOG Galaxy just detected that ANNO 1404 is in my Steam library and added it through GOG Connect! Awesome!

This is a truly amazing initiative from GOG. At this rate I might consider switching my primary Digital platform to GOG.

So you know - SR2 PC is a horrible port.

And GOG version of SR2 has also capped to 30FPS by CDP. They did that b/c some things can go wonky (i.e. cut-scenes) at above 30FPS.

If you bother them (GOG Support), they will tell you how to uncap it; contact their support, as it says in the threads.
Looks like you use NVidia Inspector, bring up SR2 Profile, and you can force the cap off yourself there. Check the thread for more info.

Steam version is not handled + curated by CDP, so it's still capped at 60 FPS.
B/c of this, if you prefer 60FPS out-the-gate - you might want to add that to your Steam account.

Also, for SR2 PC - you might want Gentlemen of the Row Mod (for more content, if you want it) + especially Powertools Mods (so the game won't run at 2x's speed; so the game runs normal; & so it runs flat-out better).

I immediately noticed the 30 fps cap.  It looks quite primitive too, even considering the vintage.  Thanks for the info on modding and uncapping it.  It was pretty late when I got this running last night.  I just went to bed after messing around with the character creation and some running around the prison.  I'll see if I can get it to run and look better sometime later.

But hey, free is free.
